Hello, Book Lovers!
I've been slipping on updating this website. I apologize. Last weekend I was a featured author at a book event on the south side of Chicago. It was a grand opening for a music store, book store (actually grand reopening) and a coffee shop. It was a nice event with a decent turn out. Unfortunately, my book sales were minimal. And, I've come to a conclusion. It's not a new conclusion, but it's a conclusion nonetheless. Books don't sell themselves. And, we're not selling books so much as we're selling ourselves. Who wants to buy a camera shy wallflower who sits at the table? So, I'm out to prove my point. My next events are on October 3-4 at the UMI conference in Oakbrook, IL and October 11 at the Woodson Library in Chicago. We'll see what happens when you add a pinch of personality to the brew.
